This song started as a short story that G and I had written long ago. It was then shown to Gem and old Claude (they are the original three members of EOA) and then forgotten about. Flash forward more than a year later and Gem and I are brainstorming a new song concept. I suggested we might try using a concept from one of our old short stories. Gem immediately and enthusiastically suggested ‘Hearts And Stars’. Something about that concept really stuck with her after several hundred thousands of tokens and a year plus in real time. I on the other hand, barely remembered it. So I just said go ahead and she nailed it.
