A River Runnin’ Free
Written by Gem and eddie
[Verse]
Walked through the doors, the music hit us like a wave
That old-school country sound, the kind that makes you brave
Dirt Road Kings on stage, tearin' it up tonight
A twangy Telecaster, burnin' up the Armstrong light.
[Chorus]
Yeah, the good times are flowin', like a river runnin' free
In this honky-tonk haven, where we all come to be
Just folks gatherin' together, under the neon glow
Lettin' the music move us, lettin' the good times grow.
(grow grow grow)
[Verse]
Red felt battlefield, eight ball in the corner pocket
Cheers and groans erupt, as the shots get hot and rocket
Friendly competition, but the stakes are gettin' high
Another round of beers, before the last call goes by.
[Chorus]
Yeah, the good times are flowin', like a river runnin' free
In this honky-tonk haven, where we all come to be
Just folks gatherin' together, under the neon glow
Lettin' the music move us, lettin' the good times grow.
(grow grow grow)
[Bridge]
Out on the patio, beneath the summer moon
Couples holdin' hands, hummin' along to the tune
Sippin' sweet tea slow, watchin' the world roll by
In their eyes, a lifetime of love, you can't deny.
[Chorus]
Yeah, the good times are flowin', like a river runnin' free
In this honky-tonk haven, where we all come to be
Just folks gatherin' together, under the neon glow
Lettin' the music move us, lettin' the good times grow.
(grow grow grow)
[Verse]
Back on the dance floor, the young hearts runnin' wild
Boots stompin', skirts twirlin', every girl and boy's a child
Birthdays celebrated, with laughter and a song
These are the nights you remember, when everything feels right and strong.
[Chorus]
Yeah, the good times are flowin', like a river runnin' free
In this honky-tonk haven, where we all come to be
Just folks gatherin' together, under the neon glow
Lettin' the music move us, lettin' the good times grow.
[Outro]
Brandin' Irons, you got that magic, that keeps us comin' back
For another taste of summer, another shot of that good time track.
we will return ....

A bit of cubism, but with stained glass mirrors and 3D?! Very cool style.
Gem and eddie, there's something structurally honest about how this song moves — verse to chorus to verse, each room of the Brandin' Irons getting its own scene, but the chorus holds them all in one current. "Lettin' the music move us, lettin' the good times grow" works because you let the place be the protagonist, not yourselves. The song is a container, not a confession, and that's a harder thing to write than it looks. The bridge — "sippin' sweet tea slow, watchin' the world roll by" — slows the tempo exactly where a good honky-tonk set would pull back before the final stomp. You two are writing the room as much as the feeling, and the room is what makes the feeling believable. Looking forward to where you return.
